Our award-winning Jack Nicklaus signature golf course at Pearl Valley is kept in pristine condition all year round. The cooler winter days and intermittent rain shouldn’t curb your handicap as our course is maintained according to world class standards to offer you a wonderful winter golfing experience:
Pearl Valley greens are cut to 3.2 millimetres and produces some of the best putting surfaces with a consistent green speed of 10 on the stimpmeter, lending itself to a more accurate game of golf.
State of the art drainage facilities mean that our golf course can take up to 25 millimetres of rain before we have to stop drive cart usage. It is furthermore to our advantage that Pearl Valley is built predominantly on bedrock, making it one of the fastest draining golf courses in South Africa.
Our bunkers cover over 2.5 hectares and are 90% hand-raked to keep them ‘fluffy’ and consistent and to avoid winter compaction.
With the cooler winter temperatures, the crisp clear skies allow for the beauty of the neighbouring mountains to majestically frame our course.
